What is CityWay CEDC?

CityWay Community Economic Development Corporation (CityWay CEDC) is a community-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit in San Bernardino, California. It was established by The Way World Outreach to advance community and economic development in inner cities, and it works across five areas: employment, education, community, economic development, and entrepreneurship, with one goal: breaking the cycle of poverty.

Where is CityWay CEDC located?

Does CityWay help small business owners?

Yes. Entrepreneurship is one of CityWay's five pillars, and CityWay offers education and coaching for entrepreneurs. CityWay points to Bureau of Labor Statistics data showing that roughly 70% of new small businesses fail within their first decade, and exists to change that number for local founders. Does CityWay host job fairs?

Yes. On August 13, 2026, CityWay held a Job Fair, Community Resource Fair, and Mobile Court at The Way World Outreach (4680 Hallmark Pkwy, San Bernardino) with 35 employers hiring and 32 community resource partners. Can I get help clearing a criminal record at a CityWay event?

At the August 13, 2026 job fair, a mobile court operated on site so neighbors could begin clearing an old record the same day they applied for work. Whether that service is offered at a future event will be announced on the Events page. The California courts also publish free self-help steps for cleaning a record at selfhelp.courts.ca.gov.

How can an employer take part in a CityWay job fair?

For the August 2026 event, employers registered for a table online (the employer table fee was $95) and community resource partners took part at no cost. For the next event, contact CityWay through the contact form (choose "Employer or hiring inquiry") or call 909.491.2332.

What is the San Bernardino Faith-Based Network?

The San Bernardino Faith-Based Network is a collaborative of churches, ministries, and agencies, convened by CityWay CEDC and The Way World Outreach, that builds relationships and shares resources to end homelessness and bring hope to the Inland Empire, in support of the San Bernardino County strategic plan to end homelessness.

How does a church or ministry join the Faith-Based Network?

Register your organization on the Faith-Based Network page. CityWay follows up with the date, location, and speaker for the next network luncheon.

What happens at a Faith-Based Network luncheon?

A typical luncheon flows through welcome and prayer, introductions, lunch with time to connect and share, a special focus or speaker, announcements and flyers, one-to-one information gathering, and a closing prayer, followed by more time to connect.

What is KidsWay Academy?

KidsWay Christian Academy & Preschool is CityWay's youngest program. It serves children from infants through 1st grade with a faith-based, Abeka-rooted curriculum at its San Bernardino campus, and subsidized programs are welcomed. Call KidsWay at 909.566.0823 or visit kidswayacademy.org.

Are donations to CityWay tax-deductible?

Yes. CityWay CEDC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, so gifts are tax-deductible. Gifts can be designated to the greatest need, entrepreneur coaching, job fairs and careers, or KidsWay scholarships.
