For employers: hiring locally at a community job fair

Thirty-five employers took a table at CityWay's August 2026 job fair in San Bernardino. Here's what that room offers an employer, and how to be in it next time.

Who was there

The August 13, 2026 Job Fair, Community Resource Fair, and Mobile Court drew 35 employers, including staffing firms, healthcare, logistics, county government, banking, security, and the trades. Among them were the City of San Bernardino, San Bernardino County Human Resources, Wells Fargo Bank, McLane Company, Allied Universal Security, and Toyota of Redlands.

Why it works for employers

  • Candidates arrive ready. CityWay paired the fair with free professional clothing, free haircuts, lunch, and an on-site mobile court for record expungement, so the barriers that usually stop applications were handled in the same building.
  • You meet people face to face. Instead of sorting portal applications, recruiters talk with candidates on the spot.
  • You're part of a local effort. Employment is one of CityWay's five pillars, and 32 community resource partners were in the room alongside the employers.

How to take part

  • For the August 2026 event, employers registered online for a table (the employer fee was $95) and community resource partners took part at no cost. Terms for future events will be announced by CityWay.
  • To hear about the next one, use the contact form and choose "Employer or hiring inquiry," or call 909.491.2332.

Make the most of your table

  • Bring a clear list of open roles with pay ranges and shifts.
  • Send someone who can say yes to a next step that day.
  • Follow up within the week with everyone you'd like to interview.
